Johnston Canyon

Early start this morning setting off for Johnston Canyon and a hike to see the waterfalls and the ink pots.

I was relieved to be out of the car after following someone who didn’t seem to know their car had an accelerator.

The hike started with a blueberry muffin but we were soon queueing to see the waterfalls themselves. I wasn’t keen on the noise, but at least the people could queue unlike at the coffee shop. It must have been sunny and they were squinting, so perhaps that’s why they pushed in front of me.

The paths were quite busy, but I did refrain from biting the German lady who didn’t seem to like dogs or people overtaking her. It wasn’t long until we were at the Upper Falls.

I wasn’t given a say in the decision to walk all the way to the Ink Pots. That was another 3700m or around 10,000 dog steps each way. I did manage to stay cool finding a muddy puddle and one of the humans gave me some muffin to keep me going. I should mention that it was 3700m each way, but I was rewarded at the end with a free “pup cup” of vanilla ice cream.

The humans all gave me some of their strawberry ice cream cones too 😋

It was noted that in the afternoon, when I was back home sleeping the humans didn’t walk, they took a gondola 😡
